We firmly believe that the Internet should be available and accessible to everyone and we are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstances or abilities.
To achieve this goal, we strive to adhere as closely as possible to the World Wide Web Consortium (W2.1C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 3) at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities. Adhering to these guidelines helps us ensure that the website is accessible to everyone: the blind, people with mobility disabilities, those with low vision, people with cognitive disabilities, and more.
This site uses various technologies designed to make it as accessible as possible at all times. We use an accessibility interface that allows people with specific disabilities to adapt the user interface (UI) and site design to their personal needs.
Additionally, the site uses an artificial intelligence-based application that runs in the background and constantly optimizes accessibility. This application corrects the site's HTML code, adapting its functionality and behavior for screen readers used by blind users and for keyboard functions used by people with motor disabilities.
If you've encountered a bug or have suggestions for improving accessibility, we'd love to hear from you. You can contact the website operators using the following email address: info@bielohub.it
Our website implements ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) along with several other behavioral changes to ensure that blind users using screen readers can read, understand, and use the site's features. As soon as a user with a screen reader enters the site, they immediately receive a prompt to activate the Screen Reader Profile, allowing them to navigate and interact with the site effectively. Here's how our site meets some of the key requirements for screen readers, with code examples in the console:
Screen reader optimization: We run a background process that analyzes site components from top to bottom, ensuring continued compliance even after updates. In this process, we provide screen readers with meaningful data using ARIA attributes. For example, we provide accurate labels for forms; descriptions for interactive icons (social icons, search icons, shopping cart icons, etc.); validation instructions for form fields; and roles for elements such as buttons, menus, modal windows (pop-ups), and more. Additionally, the background process analyzes all images on the site and provides an accurate description based on object recognition within the images, as well as ALT (alternative text) tags for images without descriptions. The application can also extract embedded text from images using OCR (optical character recognition) technology. To activate screen reader adjustments at any time, users simply press Alt+1. Additionally, screen reader users automatically receive a prompt to activate Screen Reader mode as soon as they access the site.
These adjustments are compatible with all popular screen readers, including JAWS and NVDA.
Optimizing keyboard navigation: The background process adjusts the site's HTML code and adds various features via JavaScript to make the site keyboard-navigable. This includes the ability to navigate the site using the Tab and Shift+Tab keys, manage drop-down menus with the arrow keys, close them with the Esc key, activate buttons and links with the Enter key, navigate between radio elements and checkboxes with the arrow keys, and select them with the space bar or Enter key. Keyboard users will also find quick navigation and content-skipping menus, available at any time by pressing Alt+1 or as the first site item during keyboard navigation. The background process also manages pop-ups, shifting the keyboard focus to them as soon as they open, preventing focus from wandering outside the modal window.
Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headers), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump directly to specific elements.
Our site is compatible with major browsers and assistive technologies to ensure the best possible experience.
