LABORATORY

Laboratory Tests

At our Bielo+HUB Outpatient Clinic and Analysis Center, we can perform laboratory tests that often help doctors gain a comprehensive understanding of their patients.

All of the following can be done every day, by reservation.

Uroflowmetry

Uroflowmetry is a test that measures urinary volume, flow rate, and time required to urinate.

What is uroflowmetry used for? The test is useful for evaluating the functionality of the urinary tract and for verifying the results of therapy.

Electrocardiogram

The electrocardiogram is a graphic reproduction of the heart's electrical activity recorded at the surface of the body.

What is the purpose of an electrocardiogram (ECG)? The electrocardiogram allows the cardiologist to diagnose a series of cardiac disorders and pathologies such as heart rhythm alterations.

24-hour Dynamic or Cardiac Holter

The dynamic Holter ECG (also called cardiac Holter) is a continuous recording of the heart's electrical activity (ECG = electrocardiogram) that is performed using a small portable recorder.

What is the Holter dynamic ECG used for? Analysis of the tracing recorded over 24 hours allows us to determine the presence of a rhythm disturbance or a defective blood supply to the heart and to correlate any symptoms experienced by the patient with the alterations in the electrocardiogram.

24-hour Holter Blood Pressure Monitor

A Holter monitor is a device that allows you to monitor your blood pressure throughout the day. Once worn by the patient, it automatically inflates and deflates at regular intervals, recording the results of each measurement in its internal memory.

What is a Holter blood pressure monitor used for? This test allows us to detect and study daily blood pressure fluctuations detected by a portable device. This test is very important for verifying or confirming a possible diagnosis of hypertension.

Polysomnography

Polysomnography is a diagnostic test performed while the patient is asleep and measures various vital signs such as breathing, blood oxygenation, heart rate, the presence of sleep apnea, etc.

Spirometry (simple)

Spirometry is the first test for evaluating lung function: it measures both volumes, i.e. the air contained in the lungs, and flows, and therefore the speed with which the volumes are expelled.
